Synopsis
Jack Torrance, a struggling writer, takes his wife and young son along with him to a live-in job as the winter caretaker of the isolated Overlook Hotel. The hotel's dark history and Jack's own inner demons soon begin to take their toll on the family, leading to a terrifying and bloody climax.

Steven Weber gives a tour-de-force performance as Jack Torrance, and the miniseries perfectly captures the novel's atmosphere of dread and suspense. While not as iconic as the Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film adaptation, this miniseries is an excellent retelling of one of the greatest horror stories ever written.
