PGA Championship Purse Set at $175 Million for 2024

The PGA of America has announced the prize money for the 2024 PGA Championship, which is set to be held at Valhalla Golf Club from May 18-21. The total purse for the tournament has been set at $175 million, the same amount as the 2023 event. The winner's share of the purse is $3.15 million.

Valhalla Golf Club has been the site of three previous PGA Championships, in 1996, 2000, and 2014. The 2014 tournament was won by Rory McIlroy, who earned a $1.8 million winner's check.

The full prize money distribution for the 2024 PGA Championship will be announced on May 18. The tournament is expected to draw a strong field of players, including many of the top golfers in the world.
